Book Signing

The new book, Loved and Loving, written by award winning authors Jackie Bergan and Sister Marie Schwan, has recently been published. It is a guide for prayer, leading us to the awareness of how God is both giver and gift, and how God continues to labor to share his life and love with us. Pope Francis reminds everyone of how Jesus looks at each of us with love and mercy, inviting all to participate in this work of love. Looking through His eyes of love, He empowers us to look at each with the same empowering love. Jackie is hosting a special reading and book signing at Amery’s Farm Table and Hungry Turtle Institute on Friday, April 13, from 6-8pm, where she will be joined by the book’s artist, Amery’s Gregg Rochester, a Wisconsin Artist of the Year. Everyone is welcome.

We welcome infants into our parish community through the sacrament of  Baptism, an expression of the parents’ commitment to the Faith and a sign of God’s love and care for the child. The next class for our cluster will be Thursday, April 26th at St. Joseph at 6 pm. Registration is required. Contact your parish office to register.

G.K. Chesterton The Evangelist

How does one engage a culture that is befuddled by Christ and suspicious of the Church? The life and witness of this 19th century literary convert shows that the fundamental disposition of effective evangelism is joy, and life in Christ is a day-to-day encounter with an abundant and surprising offer of grace.

In this episode of the series CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players, Bishop Barron and his team travel to Oxford, London, Beaconsfield, and all of the locations that played a significant role in the formation and vocation of G.K. Chesterton, which in turn formed the life of the Church.
